For those of you who don’t know already, V.4.0 is coming out. This may seem exciting, but they get rid of some stuff we know and love to make room for the new stuff. For example, the gnome is now in the monster manual, not a core race. However, dragonborne is now available (I know Dave likes that)! Read everything on this site here: http://dnd4.com/rumors. You may find some of this surprising, but remember nothing is set in stone yet. One thing’s for sure, it will change the world (of DnD) as we know it!!! I just thought everyone should know.

‘08 Week 2 Session and Dungeonscape
Posted in Resources, Sessions on January 8, 2008 by Dave GayWe’re working around Robotics here, but Mike is doing his best to get a session marked for this week. We should have plans sometime tomorrow. It will involve a HUGE multi-level dungeon I’ve been working on for a few weeks called Witt’s End. It’s got a really cool story, and will be a great opportunity to use Rich Burlew’s “Dungeonscape” supplement. I will talk to you all about equipping for a dungeon expedition that will be at least one week long (game time, of course). You all will level multiple times in this dungeon, and there is also much treasure to be found. I will go over some great points Dungeonscape talks about for equipping for such an adventure, and then you will get some time to go shopping. There are a ton of great items and a couple chapters of things for players I will quickly summarize before shopping, though most of the book is for DMs. I have to say, Dungeonscape has proved to be one of the best supplements I have ever read. Unlike most books which talk more “roleplayish,” if you may, Dungeonscape talks more like gamers normaly talk about D&D. It goes into detail about many things, along with strategies for the base classes, along with good ideas for spell selection, dungeon preparation, and combat. It has a ton of stuff in it, including classes and such, and it helped me write that post about the Cleric. Oh well, I don’t want to get too into it, but I do want to make sure that everyone knows it’s an amazing book that’s helping me make a dungeon like I’ve never made before, Witt’s End. I’ll talk more about it at the session. Though I’m almost a year late (it was released some time in February ‘07 I believe) thanks Rich and Jason, for a great book!
And to all you readers out there, don’t worry, I’ll have a post useful to you next time
. Also, If you’re a DM, get Dungeonscape. Now.
