Books
Now, I know it’s always good to have the core rulebooks, especially the PHB. However, there are countless other supplements that add to the players’ knowledge and make playing the game more fun. What I want to know is which ones are essential to the game. I’m starting to look for new books to increase my collection, as are plenty of other D&D players. This is especially aimed at Dom, seeing as he has so many. Just post below which books you think are most needed, or just cool to have, when playing D&D.

It really depends what you’re looking for. I’m a huge fan of the Expanded Psionics Handbook, for the additional mechanics it offers. Granted, I’m a fan of Psionics in general, both in concept and gameplay.
If you have a hobby shop that carries D&D material, wander in and skim over a few books. See if anything strikes you as interesting. If you like new takes on magic and magic-like systems, Tome of Magic is also worth looking at.
If you’re looking for a campaign setting, I find Eberron quite fun.
Hope that gives you something to start with.
